Still She Blooms
The weathered branches of the tree peony reflect the difficult seasons of life. Worry, grief, exhaustion, and uncertainty can leave us hardened. Through years of harsh winters, its branches become rugged and twisted. Yet when spring arrives, it offers something unexpected—blossoms of remarkable tenderness and beauty.
There is something sacred in that offering.
The tree does not allow the hardships it has endured to define what it gives to the world. Instead, it chooses gentleness. It chooses beauty.
We are given the same choice. Though life may weather us, we can release bitterness and offer mercy. We can lay down fear and choose tenderness. We can answer hardship with grace.
Beauty is fleeting. May we cherish the tender moments while we have them, and may we become people who continue to bloom—season after season—as an offering of love.
